Registered Service Manager
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + bonus & excellent benefits
We are working with a valued client in the social care sector who is seeking an experienced Registered Service Manager to lead a dedicated team at a residential service in Brentwood. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, while also developing your leadership career in a supportive environment.
The Service
The home is set in the Essex countryside and provides a welcoming, vibrant environment where residents enjoy a wide variety of activities – from cycling and swimming to hydrotherapy, trampolining, arts, and days out. It’s also a place where people can relax, enjoy picnics, or spend quiet time at home, creating a truly person-centred service.
The Role
As the Service Manager, you will:
* Ensure the service operates to the highest quality, care, and compliance standards.
* Lead, develop, and inspire your team to reach their full potential.
* Support individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives.
* Take responsibility for financial and resource management within the service.
* Drive quality assurance and regulatory compliance, ensuring CQC standards are consistently met.
* Report effectively on management information and service performance.
This is a CQC-registered role requiring strong leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to balance care excellence with operational responsibility.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex behaviours.
* Be an established Service Manager (or Deputy looking for the next step), ideally within supported living or residential care.
* Hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (with support available to progress to Level 4 and 5).
* Be confident, flexible, and efficient – with the ability to work shifts and take part in the on-call rota.
* Above all, be passionate about delivering person-centred care that enables people to thrive.
