We are looking to recruit an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Band 6 Sexual Health Advisor to join our busy, dynamic team at our iCaSH clinic in Cambridge.
This is a part-time role, Monday to Friday, with no evenings or weekends.
We will also consider offering a Band 5 progressive post to the right candidate and encourage applications from those with a passion for sexual health.
Support and training will be provided to achieve a Band 6 role. The Band 5 Job Description is attached to the vacancy, along with the Band 6 Job Description. The Band 5 salary range is £31,049 - £37,796.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of patients requiring Sexual Health Advisor contact within the service.
2. Provide advice, support, information, education, treatment, and health promotion to patients diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea, herpes, syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B & C.
3. Manage and oversee test results and carry out partner notification to ensure attendance and treatment of contacts.
4. Provide a safe environment for patients, carers, and families to access care, discuss concerns, and ask questions. Offer information, advice, treatment, health promotion, and education, with onward referrals as needed.
5. Deliver time-limited 1:1 sessions focusing on risk reduction and behaviour change, using evidence-based tools like motivational interviewing.
6. Assess factors affecting a patient's sexual health and refer/signpost to appropriate specialist services such as psychology, psychiatry, or substance abuse services.
7. Offer ongoing support, advice, and signposting for issues like sexual assault, pregnancy termination, sexual identity, relationship, and psychosexual concerns.
