Job Title: Production Stream Group Leader Location: Portadown Salary: 45,000 per annum Benefits: 25 days annual leave 8 Statutory holidays £600 annual bonus Healthcare cover Strong development plans for career progression Working Hours: Saturday/Sunday: 06:00-18:00 2 mid-week days (flexible hours for 2 x 8-hour shifts) About the Role: As a Group Leader in the Production Stream, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production process. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Team Management: Lead, recruit, and induct new members to the Production Stream team, fostering their development through skills assessments, training, feedback, and support. Health and Safety: Champion a site-wide safety culture, ensuring that all employees adhere to health and safety standards. Proactively identify risks and implement countermeasures to maintain a safe working environment. Standard Development & Confirmation: Ensure that site policies and procedures are documented, trained, and followed consistently by Team Leaders and Members. Continuous Improvement: Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Practical Problem Solving and KPS lean methodologies to enhance production standards and processes. Labour Organisation: Optimize team labour availability, collaborate with the Operations and CI Managers to ensure efficient staffing, and manage unplanned absences to maintain operational flow. Process Reliability: Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) to enhance productivity and reduce downtime. Performance Analysis: Analyze production metrics, identify performance gaps, and take corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement. Quality Control: Maintain the highest product quality standards and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to meet agreed product specifications. Skills & Experience: Proven experience in team management or a similar leadership role, ideally in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of health and safety standards within a manufacturing context. Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and develop a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
