We're looking for an Associate Project Manager/Employers Agent to join our Local Authority team in London and the South-East. You'll be leading service delivery and working on a range of exciting projects, predominantly delivering mixed tenure housing-led regeneration promoted by London boroughs.
As an Associate level Project Manager/Employers Agent, you will deliver excellent client outcomes by leading and providing senior thought leadership as part of teams delivering built asset projects, predominantly, but not exclusively, to local authority clients.
This will include complex and challenging housing development and regeneration projects and programmes at all stages. You will be responsible for service quality and lead a team of project managers in this space. You will be expected to drive consistency in project management/employers agent solutions and introduce best-in-class reporting and project management tools into programmes.

* Helping to create project plans and then executing and managing them effectively for clients, managing risk, change, and programme delivery effectively
* Assembling and leading multi-disciplinary design and consultancy teams, often with a mixture of Arcadis colleagues, sub-consultants, and consultants appointed by the client
* Leading the procurement, appointment, and management of contractors with support from public sector officers and legal advisors
* Leading soft Market Testing with potential Contractors, Delivery Partners, and Operators and providing a report with options and recommendations
* Providing recommendations for and managing procurement of consultants, assessments, and surveys as required in accordance with WCC's procurement requirements
* Managing key stage handovers (e.g., design, construction, and occupation), preparing and reviewing Handover Packs with relevant parties including pre- and post-construction info, consents, certificates, warranties, Home User Guides, snagging, defect procedures, access, and security
* Acting as Contract Administrator, Employers Agent for JCT contracts or Project Manager for NEC contracts. Responsible for all statutory paperwork, consents, and contractual mechanisms (including certification, instructions, and claim recommendations)
* Working with the contractor to establish quality benchmarks and standards to achieve zero defects at completion
* Setting expectations for and monitoring progress and compliance of all handover documentation to ensure smooth handover to the client and new homeowner/occupier
Qualifications & Experience:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself on the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are technically capable and come to us with:
* Experience of leading complex capital projects
* Flexible skills focused on client engagement and a drive to deliver successful projects
* Experience of working in or for local authority clients or other registered providers
* Experience in delivery of residential projects, preferably with a social housing focus
* Ability and desire to communicate well with a diverse mix of stakeholders
* An understanding of public procurement
* Knowledge and understanding of project management and employers' agent services at all stages of projects, with a particular focus on design and construction.
* A hunger to learn and develop and a drive to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients.
