Position Summary
Bechtel is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer experienced with modularisation, modules to join the Plant Design and Piping (PD and P) discipline on a semiconductor project for a confidential client. This position falls within the Manufacturing and Technology Global Business Unit.
This role will be based in London, UK office.
Typical Responsibilities
:
Responsible for Plant Design and Piping module execution on a medium size project or a significant scope of a large complex project.
:
Directly performs or administers work of designers and drafters of a design group for a business line technology. This work includes the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2:D and 3:D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings. Very proficient with Hexagon S3D software or Autodesk BIM360 Revit.

Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews engineering work within the Plant Design and Piping discipline.
:
Aides in supervises and provides technical direction to subordinate designers.
:
Produces, reviews and approves key Plant Design and Piping specifications, procedures, drawings and calculations.

Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to clients and upper management.
:
Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly.

Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work to meet schedule dates.
:
Maintains contacts with client representatives, suppliers, appropriate field personnel and other disciplines to ensure the completion of the work and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements.

Review design documents of other disciplines, equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a high degree of complexity and prepare comments and recommendations.

Interface with multiple execution centres and/or with joint venture partners.

Skills and Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
:
AA/AS/Cert with extensive related design experience.
:
Must have the right to work and remain in the UK without sponsorship.
:
Extensive experience in modularization, module piping layout, design and execution.
:
Broad knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria used in Plant Design and Piping including ASME B31.3, ASTM standards, Process Industry Practices etc.
:
Understanding of precedents and principles related to Plant Design and Piping.

Detailed understanding of the application of industry standard 2D and 3D design and automation tools, ideally this includes MicroStation and Hexagon Smart3D, and AutoCAD Revit, Nav
