Integrated Midwife (Rural) – Oban Community Maternity Service

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated integrated midwife (rural) to work within an integrated midwifery model in the beautiful rural Argyll region.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide continuity of care to families in Oban, Lorn & Islands.
* Travel to other maternity units within Argyll & Bute to cover when necessary and provide homebirth coverage within the Health Care Partnership.
* Act as the named midwife to a caseload providing a full range of care.
* Provide overnight out‑of‑hours care as on‑call commitment.
* Travel efficiently between various work locations to meet operational requirements of the Service.
Essential Qualifications
* Full/current UK driving licence and ability to use own car for commute.
* Experience working autonomously within a supportive team in a maternity setting.
Benefits and Working Conditions
Part‑time hours will be considered.
Relocation package may be offered.
Policymakers: The Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced to 36 hours from 1st April 2026 (pro‑rated for part‑time).
