The Kingston Academy seeks an ambitious and motivated KS3 SENCO to join our Inclusion team and support our drive to ensure that all students can flourish. Working under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, you will play a key role in implementing our Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy, ensuring high‑quality provision for students with SEND across Key Stage 3. With a commitment to our inclusive ethos that ‘every teacher is a teacher of SEND’, you will be instrumental in shaping, monitoring and evaluating targeted support, liaising with staff, students and external agencies, and promoting independence and progress for students with SEND or other significant vulnerabilities. You will contribute to the development of inclusive, high‑quality teaching, support mechanisms and transition processes, mindful of TKA’s mission that all pupils are equipped with the skills and resources to succeed.
The Kingston Academy is an outstanding Secondary School in North Kingston, which opened for the first time in September 2015 with a cohort of Year 7 pupils. TKA has received a substantial capital grant for the refurbishment of the existing educational facilities and for additional new modern buildings which we have now taken possession of. Our mission is to provide a world‑class education for all the young people within our community to ensure that every pupil is safe, happy and succeeds.
We now have over 1000 pupils across the seven year groups from year 7 to year 13.
