We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. Duties
* Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
* Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
* Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring they understand their care plans
* Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising instruments and ensuring clinical areas are clean and organised
* Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories
* Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence
* Offer reassurance and support to anxious patients, fostering a calm environment
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
* Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
* Relevant nursing qualification recognised within the UK healthcare system
* Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management
* Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, dentists, and team members
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
* Fluency in English is essential for clear communication with patients and staff
* Ability to work as part of a team whilst demonstrating professionalism and empathy
