Job Overview

A member of the Metatek Group Sales team to develop and secure gravity gradiometry airborne/marine/land surveys and interpretation services.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

* Develop a strong working knowledge of the Company’s service offerings, internal workflows, and end-to-end sales process.
* Take an active role in monitoring market conditions, including customer challenges, industry trends, competitor activity, solution offerings, and emerging opportunities for growth.
* Actively contribute to revenue growth within designated target markets and support the preparation, issuance, and lifecycle management of commercial documentation including proposals, NDAs, MSAs, and supplemental agreements for all services provided by Metatek.
* Maintain accurate sales, proposal, and project records to support pipeline visibility, reporting, and decision-making.
* Act as a key coordination point between sales, processing, and interpretation teams to ensure smooth handover from commercial discussions into project execution.
* Support internal alignment on project scope, timelines, and resource availability during proposal and project start-up phases.
* Regularly assess market intelligence to identify and qualify new commercial opportunities, such as licensing rounds, farm-in and farm-out activity, new geographic or sector entry points, and data acquisition initiatives.
* Develop a strong understanding of differing working cultures, business norms, and engagement styles across global markets, and adapt communication and collaboration approaches accordingly to build effective customer relationships.
* Participate in feasibility studies, survey planning, meetings, job start meetings, and survey close-out meetings with our key customers.
* Establish, nurture, and maintain key client relationships with both existing and prospective clients; ensure client enquiries are responded to promptly and effectively, and translate client objectives, risks, and budget constraints into compelling, fit-for-purpose solutions.


Additional Tasks and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

* Participate in oil & gas, mining and geothermal technical conferences as and when required.
* Be aware of export and trade compliance issues; as well as any other regulatory controls which may affect our business processes. Implement efficient strategies which adhere to these regulations.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the business, and in particular liaise with peers in similar roles to gain the benefits of common practices.
* Maintain professional awareness of the external developments in scientific instrumentation and exploration geology and geophysics, to identify where these may be used to benefit the Company and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
* Gain an understanding of the work toward improving the critical processes associated with the running of an airborne/marine/land geophysical operation.
* Be aware of and ensure compliance with Metatek Health & Safety policy and procedures as well as the Metatek staff handbook.
* Participate in training development programs to improve sales and marketing skills.
* Provide support for cross-company systems for client contacts, sales visit scheduling and sales reporting.


Preferences

* Degree in Geoscience related subject desired with a strong interest in transitioning into client-facing, commercial, or technical sales roles.
* Interested in understanding customer challenges and translating technical capabilities into practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
* Eager to build exposure to market intelligence, tendering processes, and client relationship management.
* Keen to develop skills across the full sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal preparation, and contract support.
* Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical, processing, and interpretation teams to support commercial outcomes.
* Good communications skills – ability to articulate value propositions across a variety of potential
