Purchasing Manager role at TeamJobs in Dorset. Salary: £34,000 DOE. Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
Are you an experienced Buyer with a sharp eye for cost control, supplier relationships, and stock optimisation? This opportunity focuses on ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of raw materials while maintaining quality and compliance.
What you'll be doing
* Purchasing raw materials at the most cost-effective prices, ensuring security of supply.
* Selecting, evaluating, and managing approved suppliers in line with c-GMP guidelines.
* Negotiating supplier terms and pricing, driving year-on-year cost savings.
* Coordinating raw material inventory across multiple sites to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Monitoring and maintaining accurate stock control procedures, including production returns and daily reconciliations.
* Supporting the development and implementation of ERP systems (Winman).
* Liaising with internal teams and suppliers on lead times, deliveries, and any quality issues.
* Ensuring all activities adhere to c-GMP standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in purchasing/procurement, ideally within a manufacturing or c-GMP environment.
* Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience.
* Excellent organisational and stock control skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites.
* Confident using ERP systems and comfortable working with data and reporting.
* A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
