Job description
The Apprentice Chemist is involved in the development of new products and the provision of technical support to Fosrocs UK operating company. They will help to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of projects and products that meet the needs of the business.ResponsibilitiesSupport the successful development of new Fosroc products
Ensure all practical lab and site activities are in full accordance with HSE and
other related policies
Maintain testing equipment and lab areas
Follow good practice and rigorous adherence to test methods and protocols
Provide high-level technical support to the Fosroc UK operating company, relating to alternative materials evaluations, resolving production issues, product testing and application demonstrations. Ensure all work activities are appropriately documented/recordedSkills requiredDesirable

Working Environment:
Processes can produce dust, vapour, fume and noise. Engineering controls are taken to remove the potential for hazard. Where this proves impossible or impractical PPE will be used as a measure of last resort. PPE is provided in accordance with site / task requirements.
30 hours per week at Fosroc site in Tamworth, 1 day per week release for study at partnering institution.
