Volunteer Services Coordinator
Location – Nr Stroud
Salary – £25,995.62 FTE (£13, PT
Hours – Part time (19.5 hours)
Are you organised, compassionate, and ready to make a difference? We're looking for a proactive and people focused individual to work within our Volunteer Service Department, supporting those living with life-limiting conditions and empowering volunteers to thrive.
About the Role
To deliver a professional, proactive, and responsive Volunteer Service the post holder will play a key role in recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers across all departments, ensuring a seamless volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
* Maintain accurate volunteer records and ensure compliance with policies and DBS requirements.
* Support and coordinate volunteers across departments, including managing leavers.
* Produce reports on volunteer activity, hours, and recruitment data.
* Improve volunteer service processes and support the delivery of new volunteer-led projects.
* Assist with information governance responsibilities and maintain data security standards.
* Provide general administrative support to the Volunteer Service team.
What You'll Bring
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to build positive relationships with volunteers and staff at all levels.
· Organisational and administrative ability – capable of managing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and meeting deadlines.
· Experience in volunteer management or recruitment – ideally within a healthcare, charity, or community setting.
· Proactive and solution-focused mindset – with a commitment to continuous improvement.
· Understanding of confidentiality and compliance – including data protection, safeguarding, and DBS requirements.
· Confidence using IT systems – including databases, Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn new platforms (e.g., Volunteer Management System).
· Empathy and a people-first approach – aligned with the values of supporting individuals with life-limiting conditions.
