Working in conjunction with the operational team, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of engineers, technicians, vehicles, and associated plant & equipment, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. The role also involves conducting site audits to ensure safety, efficiency, and timely completion of work.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Manage daily operations of engineers/technicians, vehicles, and equipment, addressing issues arising from site activities.
2. Monitor performance concerning Health and Safety, Quality, and Environment standards.
3. Handle frontline People Management tasks such as return-to-work interviews and investigations.
4. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of Vehicles, Plant & Equipment.
5. Implement, monitor, and audit company policies and improvement plans.
6. Align operations with company policies and proactively promote improvements.
7. Report and investigate all incidents.
8. Regularly monitor safety and performance metrics.
9. Collaborate with management to ensure work is pre-sited and pre-planned as needed.
10. Identify and resolve problems promptly to prevent escalation.
11. Monitor subcontractors.
12. Maintain good relationships and communication, resolving issues early.
About You
Desirable Qualifications & Professional Memberships:
* Experience and/or qualifications in the Utilities and/or Drainage Industry.
* Valid Driving Licence.
* Previous supervisory experience in the Utilities Sector, preferably in Drainage.
* Experience in customer service or a customer-focused environment.
* Professional, customer-oriented, with good verbal and numerical reasoning skills.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
* Understanding of waste network operations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to foster personal development and lead by example.
* Experience building relationships with clients and suppliers.
