As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester your responsibilities will include:
10. Conducting thorough vehicle diagnostics and road tests
11. Carrying out routine servicing, MOT testing, and warranty repairs
12. Diagnosing vehicle faults using technical literature and information bulletins
13. Maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workshop
14. Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
15. Communicating directly with customers when required and providing clear, professional explanations
16. Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used
17. Upgrading skills through manufacturer training and courses
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role include:
18. Recognition of a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training
19. Extensive experience in service and repair of motor vehicles (minimum 3 years dealership experience)
20. MOT certification
21. Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and testing procedures
22. Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and customer service skills
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an attractive starting salary of up to £35,000 per year.
