Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their wellbeing. Duties
* Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
* Support the implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
* Help with daily routines including meal preparation and light housekeeping duties
* Monitor and record patients' conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
* Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as required
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
* Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure consistent care delivery
Skills
* Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Ability to operate IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
* Basic driving skills; valid driving licence is advantageous for home care roles
* Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of care plans and procedures related to healthcare assistance
