A requirement for a Legal Contracts Manager in Aberdeen has arisen within the dynamic Legal & Contracts team of a global offshore and subsea services provider. This provider boasts a trusted reputation within the energy industry as a result of successful offshore operations spanning five decades.
The role supports activities across the UK and Global IRM Business Unit, undertaking a challenging and diverse remit with responsibility across a broad range of products, services and geographies. Key Responsibilities include:
* Collaborate with Tender Managers to devise effective negotiation strategies for each tender.
* Assess contract terms in prospective clients' Invitations To Tender, and participate in client negotiations.
* Partner with Tender Managers to formulate recommendations for senior management and obtain necessary approvals.
* Contribute to Legal Team's strategy, goals, and mentorship initiatives
* Offer guidance to contracts, supply chain, and project teams on contractual matters and risk mitigation.
* Draft and review various legal agreements
* Offer compliance advice and review due diligence questionnaires from suppliers.
Desired applicants will be degree-educated in Law or hold a relevant Business-related qualification, commercially focused with a sound knowledge of Contract Law and the ability to draft in a legal / contractual context and have demonstrable experience within the Energy or Construction industry.
