Job Description:
Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team at Addenbrookes Treatment Centre in Cambridge city centre. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours p/week, from 07.00 to 15.30 /14.00 to 22.00, Monday to Friday rotating weekly.
The role:
* Reporting to the Operations Manager
* To supervise the mechanical/electrical/building trade staff and specialist contractors
* Ensure the immediate and proper allocation of work, and the completion of such work in accordance with the performance monitoring system and to client satisfaction.
* Use of the Maximo CAFM system.
* Order materials and services as required within agreed delegation level and certify satisfactory delivery/completion.
* Monitor trade staff performance, time-keeping and sickness
* Provide estimates for quoted works, site measurements, cost control information and maintain necessary records for effective administration as directed.
* Required to undertake training and qualify as AP and/or CP if required.
* Requirement to work with tools as necessary
* Working 40 hours per week from 07.00 to 15.30 /14.00 to 22.00, Monday to Friday rotating weekly with participation in the on call rota
The person:
* Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
* Significant experience in a building services environment with comprehensive M&E knowledge
* Will be a team player with prior supervisory / management experience
* Will be client-focused with a delivery oriented and can-do approach to work
* Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of the various trade groups to be managed i.e. building works, mechanical and electrical engineering
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Able to obtain DBS clearance
