Role Overview
The Payroll Finance Specialist is a key role within the HR Services UK and Ireland Team, reporting to the Payroll Manager. This role involves working closely with the Payroll and HR Services Team and other stakeholders, providing specialist advice and guidance. The position offers exposure to various payroll finance areas and the opportunity to own these tasks with a proactive approach. The main goal is to deliver efficient, timely end-to-end payroll services aligned with business needs, with a focus on continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Delivery Management: Manage payroll finance tasks for UK and Ireland, including reconciliations, pension reporting, control accounts, recharges, and end-of-year reporting such as ERR Ireland.
2. PSA Settlement Agreements UK & Ireland: Oversee and manage PSA settlement agreements in both regions.
3. Shares Schemes Management: Co-manage UK Shares Schemes as the LTI Correspondent for UK & Ireland.
4. Project Participation: Collaborate on payroll-related projects, including integrations and acquisitions.
5. Compliance and Legislative Support: Support the Payroll Manager and Compliance Lead to ensure updates are communicated through training and sessions.
6. Audit Support: Assist with payroll audits, including NMW, annual, and HMRC audits.
7. Operational Support: Provide operational support as needed across payroll functions.
8. Query Response: Address queries promptly according to SLAs.
9. System Implementation: Play a key role in implementing global and local payroll systems, understanding requirements from payroll, compensation, and benefits perspectives.
10. Audit Actions: Handle audit actions proactively and coordinate with finance; serve as the main contact for finance on specialist topics.
11. SOPs and Process Flows: Document all tasks through SOPs and process flows in collaboration with Payroll Project and Compliance Leads.
Education: Degree or recognized payroll/finance qualification.
Language: Fluent in English.
Experience: Experience in payroll process delivery within shared services, excellent communication skills, and significant payroll finance experience, especially with complex topics and team collaboration. Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively across the organization.
