The Role Leading and managing Music provision across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and performance outcomes Developing a coherent and ambitious Music curriculum Overseeing concerts, ensembles, productions, and extracurricular provision Line managing Music staff and supporting professional development Monitoring pupil attainment and implementing targeted intervention strategies Managing departmental resources, budgets, and performance facilities Contributing to whole-school leadership and strategic planning The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in Music or a closely related discipline Experience teaching Music at secondary level, including examination groups Prior leadership experience within a department A strong track record of securing high academic and performance outcomes Excellent organisational, communication, and rehearsal leadership skills The ability to inspire musical excellence and pupil confidence This High Wycombe secondary school is recognised for its strong behaviour systems, structured leadership, and supportive Performing Arts culture.
