Hays is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer for our client based in Fermanagh. This role will be part of their Regional Management Team, Northern region operations. We are partnering with a world-leading design, engineering, and project management organization dedicated to engineering a better future for everyone. The company is committed to delivering end-to-end services across the entire project lifecycle, including Capital, Consulting, Decommissioning, Engineering and Design, Operations and Maintenance, Project and Program Management, up to Project Delivery.
Your new role
The Senior Engineer will oversee the management, maintenance, recreational and commercial use, and future development of water infrastructure. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Regional Depots and will engage with Operations Stores to support the development, procurement, and purchasing of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management
2. Liaise with environmental bodies and in-house environmental staff to ensure environmental requirements are met, helping to manage and monitor projects within budget, deadlines, and quality standards.
3. Contribute to and comply with the Health and Safety Statement and other procedures, including safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
4. Assist in developing methods, processes, and systems to enhance productivity.
5. Address matters as requested by the Senior Management Team.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
* A current driving license and access to transport permitting travel throughout Ireland.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
