Groomfield Recruitment are looking for A Hire Desk Controller (with Administrative Duties) for their client in Aldridge, Walsall WS9. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity over 12 weeks worked. Hours: Monday to Friday, between 0800-1700 Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and organised Hire Desk Controller to join our team. This role combines customer service, coordination, and administrative responsibilities to support the smooth running of our hire desk operations. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, processing hire orders, and ensuring accurate administration of hire documentation. Key Responsibilities Managing incoming calls and emails from customers regarding hire enquiries Chasing payments for overdue orders Processing hire orders and updating the hire system accurately Coordinating equipment availability, collections, and deliveries Preparing hire contracts, invoices, and related documentation Maintaining accurate records and filing systems Liaising with drivers, yard staff, and other departments to ensure efficient service Providing general administrative support to the office as required Ensuring excellent customer service at all times Skills and Experience Previous experience in a hire desk is preferred but not essential.
