The Opportunity The successful candidate will play a leading role in a mixed tax portfolio, covering both corporate and personal tax matters. You'll be responsible for overseeing compliance activities while also providing strategic advisory services to clients. The role combines technical tax expertise with client-facing responsibility, people development, and cross-team collaboration. The role sits within the Business Services Tax team and is supported by a 'Hands On' and collaborative team and experienced Director. The team looks after a diverse client portfolio covering an array of sectors with the turnovers sitting between 1m-10m in size. This is a newly created role due to the growth within the firm and will have genuine career potential for the right individual. Key Responsibilities Lead annual tax compliance for companies, individuals, and partnerships Provide tailored advice on remuneration, succession planning, CGT, and benefits in kind Oversee onboarding and quoting for new clients Collaborate with other internal departments and external advisors to ensure holistic service delivery Review team members' work and support their ongoing development Contribute to blogs, technical articles, and deliver presentations on key tax topics About You Professionally qualified in tax or accountancy (e.g. CA, ATT, CTA) Broad experience across personal and corporate tax Previous success managing a tax client portfolio Comfortable supervising a team and coaching junior staff Technically robust with the ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly Experience using Alphatax and CCH is advantageous Key Benefits Hybrid working model - 3 days onsite, 2 from home Core hours of 10am3pm (MonThurs) and 10am2pm (Fri) Agile hours reclaimable after busy periods Empowering culture with progression and learning opportunities Inclusive, modern workplace with an emphasis on people
