Before we can employ you, we are required to verify your eligibility to work in the UK & Ireland. Acceptable documents to evidence your right to work can be found here. You’ll need to provide original documents such as a valid passport or a valid UK/Ireland visa (with a college letter listing term dates, where applicable). Only original documents will be accepted.
What type of questions do you ask at an interview?
The interview is an absolutely vital part of our hiring process. Without it, we wouldn’t get a proper picture of what kind of person you are, and whether you’d be a great fit. The interview will normally involve a set of questions around values and attitudes and will allow the candidate to show why they are right for the job. We look for people who have the right attitudes and behaviours to deliver a great customer and colleague experience; we hire for qualities and potential, rather than qualifications.

Sustainability and pay frequency
McDonald’s has sustainability plans and pledges in place as part of our ongoing efforts. In 2021, we launched our net-zero restaurant. Pay frequency varies by franchise or company-owned locations, generally every 2 or 4 weeks for hourly staff or monthly for salaried employees.
Shifts and dress code
Our restaurant hours vary by location; over half of our restaurants are open 24 hours. We schedule shifts to suit you while complying with working time legislation and business needs. You don’t need to worry about what to wear—uniforms are supplied.
