Are you a highly skilled Learning Support Assistant looking for a role where you truly know and make a difference to every child?

Join our friendly, high-achieving village school where high standards and personalised care go hand-in-hand. At Andrews', we challenge every child to have the highest possible aspirations by seeing them as an individual. Our entire ethos is built on our core values: Love, Courage, and Respect.

If these values resonate with you, we want to hear from you.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive, calm, and highly capable Learning Support Assistant to become an essential part of our supportive team. This is a Full time term-time role (Salary Scale B pro-rata, depending on qualifications and experience).

You will be crucial in facilitating learning and fostering wellbeing by:

* Providing targeted, impactful support to individuals or small groups, helping them overcome misconceptions and providing timely feedback to accelerate progress.
* Collaborating closely with class teachers to develop academic skills, as well as preparing and adapting high-quality learning resources to meet diverse needs.
* Championing neurodivergent learners by implementing personalised strategies and adaptations (such as sensory breaks or visual timetables) that celebrate individual strengths while removing barriers to participation.
* Contributing significantly to holistic development, supporting pupils' social and emotional wellbeing both within the structured classroom environment and during active playground play.
* Engaging and empowering children by encouraging independent learning, helping them decode complex instructions, and supporting them in articulating their own learning strategies.
* Maintaining accurate records of pupils' daily progress and milestones, utilising your excellent written and oral communication skills to liaise with staff and parents.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a candidate who has a genuine passion for inclusive education.

Essential Skills & Qualities:

* Positive and Calm Approach: You naturally use a range of effective behaviour management strategies.
* Curriculum Knowledge: Understanding and experience of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum is required.
* A Passion for Neurodiversity: You must demonstrate a proactive desire for researching and employing effective strategies for working with neurodivergent children.
* Empathy and Initiative: You understand the critical importance of a child's social and emotional development, can show genuine empathy, and are flexible enough to support both child-initiated and teacher-led learning.
* Play and Learning: You appreciate the vital role of play in a child's development.
* Team Player: You can build and develop positive relationships with both children and staff.
* Qualifications: Relevant qualifications, preferably to at least NVQ2 or equivalent. You must be enthusiastic, creative, and willing to undertake further training to gain new skills.
