Overview
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic RVN to work alongside our large team of Vets, Nurses, Student Nurses, Veterinary Auxiliaries and Receptionists. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC). The role will include all aspects of nursing. We are a 6 site small animal practice with two accredited hospitals. You’ll be mainly based at our Northfield site, however there will be occasions in which you’ll be required to cover at our other local branches.
Responsibilities
* Carry out all general nursing duties, including inpatients, theatre practice, basic laboratory tasks, consulting, patient admits and discharges, triaging patients and assisting with incoming calls.
* Assist with pricing of procedures, stock ration, ordering, supporting student nurses and new graduate Vets.
* Support the team across Northfield and branch practices as required.
Work-life Balance
We offer a flexible rota approach to support a healthy work-life balance. The aim is to provide a full-time role of 40 hours per week with shifts varied between 07:00-19:30, Monday to Friday, and 1:12 Saturday mornings.
About Us
We have ultrasound, CT, K-laser, Endoscopy and laparoscopy, and dental x-ray, allowing us to offer a wide range of services. At our hospital, we have 3-5 vets working per day and certificate holders in multiple disciplines (surgery, medicine, cardiology, exotic species, ophthalmology and ECC). As a practice, we support various local charities, which contributes to our caseload.
Manor Vets is built from 24 Veterinary Surgeons, 25 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 7 Student Veterinary Nurses, 9 Veterinary Auxiliaries, 17 Receptionists, 4 admin staff and a team of managers, each a vital part of our team. We have certificate holders across our practices in various disciplines to maintain a large and varied in-house caseload.
