The Vacancy
The Mobile Brake Test Operator will operate a mobile roller brake testing unit, traveling to different locations to conduct brake performance tests on the company's HGV and trailer fleet.
Main Responsibilities
1. Record test results accurately using approved software or manual forms.
2. Conduct brake tests on HGVs and trailers, including loaded simulations.
3. Travel across sites operating the Mobile Brake Test Unit and Moffett.
4. Complete and submit DVSA-compliant brake test results promptly.
5. Maintain improved audit readiness through consistent and traceable records.
6. Undertake HGV Driver duties for the Flatbed Division as needed, with flatbed experience preferred.
7. Read and interpret maps and use GPS effectively.
8. Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
9. Securely load and unload, applying proper techniques.
10. Follow all traffic laws and safety standards while driving.
11. Possess construction logistics knowledge or experience preferred.
12. Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, understanding instructions quickly.
13. Hold a full UK HGV C+E driving licence and at least 2 years of HGV driving experience.
14. Maintain a current CPC and Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
15. Possess a Vehicle Mounted Forklift Licence (Moffett) and experience with Mobile Brake Test Units preferred.
