CXC are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading UK equipment rental provider, to recruit Field Service Engineers to join their team based all over the UK.
Job: Field Service Engineer
Salary: £50k - £60k +bonus
Company Vehicle (With Private Use), Fuel Card (With Private Use), Allstar Card (No Private Use) and Laptop will be provided
National and International travel will be required
Purpose of the role:
The Field Service Engineer will be the Main Engineer on install sites and, will co-ordinate work on site and allocate roles and responsibilities to team members. They will be responsible for bridging the skill set gap between field service, sales and service centre and Senior Management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Main Engineer on install sites, co-ordinate work on site, allocate roles and responsibilities to team members on site and Plan own works for surveys, installs, operating and deinstalls
* Liaises with Sales for new work and site surveys for technical knowledge
* Overseas and leads install/deinstall on projects and Books in install and kit surveys for all install sites/projects
* Uses time to train others on basic install and maintenance tasks when in the service centre
* Looks for opportunities to grow fleet and expand services – time management and maximise productivity/downtime
* Actively engages with H&S initiatives and Actively seeks engineering and H&S improvements
* Attends FAT’s/SAT’s on behalf of SBR-CP and represents SBR-CP in professional capacity in front of clients (Local and Abroad)
* When workload dictates assist with site installs, cable installs etc
* Be motivated, lead by example and assist in growing team knowledge
* Attend business specific training as required and Any other duties reasonably requested.
Skills and Attributes:
* Be able to work alone, self-motivated, flexible, proactive and committed with good time management skills
* Be an effective team player when working with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output aswell as be Computer Literate with MS programs
* Excellent Attention to detail and Planning and Prioritizing
* Good problem solving-solving skills and logical approach
* Able to train others on basic tasks
* Good understanding of client expectations and the impact of failure/cost due to poor quality and have an Understanding of H&S
* Customer facing – Good communication skills and be Presentable and Lead by example
Qualifications and Experience:
* GCSE or Equivalent
* Experience with Generators, Loadbanks and UPS essential.
* Previous install experience and ECS / CSCS and Mechanical & Electrical experience essential
* Used to working to deadlines and Financial awareness
* Detailed approach and Ideally someone been in and around rental and fixed install application and Application skill set
* Ideally familiar in all SBR-CP Products with a strong knowledge in 3 of SBR-CP key products/areas
You must hold a passport and full UK driving licence
