Job Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Daily Rate: GBP 85.20 GBP 120 per day
Contract: Full:time

We are currently seeking a dedicated, patient, and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Edgware. This is a full:time opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Support learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO. Encourage pupils academic, social, and emotional development. Assist with behaviour management using positive and consistent strategies. Adapt support to meet individual learning needs and learning styles. Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Support pupils in developing independence, confidence, and resilience.
What Were Looking For:
Previous experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs (preferred but not essential). A caring, patient, and resilient approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to supporting children s learning and wellbeing. An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
