We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Female Mental Health Support Worker to join our healthcare team in Kent. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide essential support to female patients with mental health conditions, aiding their recovery in a hospital setting. Your role involves creating a safe, supportive environment where patients can express their needs and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide practical and emotional support to female patients experiencing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric conditions.
2. Assist in delivering individual and group therapeutic interventions under the guidance of clinical staff.
3. Observe and monitor patient behaviors, assisting with daily activities to promote recovery and independence.
4. Assist patients with personal care, including dressing, grooming, and hygiene, maintaining their comfort and dignity.
5. Engage patients in activities such as art therapy, exercise, and social interactions to promote mental well-being.
6. Offer emotional support and serve as a key contact for patients to express concerns and needs.
7. Contribute to creating and implementing personalized care plans with mental health professionals.
8. Monitor and report changes in patient conditions promptly to the nursing and clinical teams.
9. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
10. Ensure safety and security by adhering to hospital policies and safeguarding procedures.
11. Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and care documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
12. Foster a non-judgmental, inclusive, and supportive environment, maintaining professional boundaries.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a mental health support or care role.
