Job Title: Solution Architect Location: Windsor, UK Work Model: Hybrid (1 day per week in office) Job Type : Contract (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 Months Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our team in Windsor. You will play a key role in defining, communicating, and implementing strategic technology standards and roadmaps, ensuring robust and scalable solutions for business transformation initiatives. This is a hybrid role requiring one day per week in the office. Key Responsibilities: Identify, publish, and communicate strategic technology standards, frameworks, principles, and roadmaps to guide technology decisions and leverage efficiency opportunities. Analyze the impact of implementing new technologies into the IT infrastructure. Assist Solution Architects, Product Specialists, and Project Managers in matching technology services to specific business services, ensuring technology roadmaps are aligned in development projects. Design and guide the implementation of robust, scalable solutions. Evaluate and represent solution options in the Architecture Review Board and obtain approval for the best-identified solution for implementation. Set up architecture best practices and collaborate with Business, IT, and third-party product vendors to align programme objectives and achieve critical goals. Conduct system assessments and identify areas for optimization and improvement. Skills, Experience, and Abilities Required: 8 years of relevant Solution Architect experience; 15 years overall experience. Strong understanding of AWS gateway/integration methodologies, APIs, and data migration strategies. Solution Architecture expertise with a consulting mindset (not a Technical Architect role). Previous experience as a Technical Architect is desirable. Strong Solution Architectural experience in medium to large-scale transformation programs. Experience in driving architecture strategy, application integration, governance models, security roadmaps, application hosting in AWS Cloud, and software design. Working experience in Agile models and multi-supplier environments. Experience working as part of a team of Solution Architects, reporting to the Head of Architecture. Understanding of the Utilities industry. Excellent articulation and presentation skills for collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
