Full time starting salary is normally in the range £27,546 to £29,171, with potential progression once in post to £32,595.

Background
The role will be part of Research FIRST (Flexible, Innovative, Research Support Team) which provides expert support for non‑CTIMP research and other projects such as management databases, clinical audits and service evaluations. The service is delivered by the core team based at the ITM with direct access to clinical, academic and professional support services from across the Birmingham Health Partners ecosystem.
Research FIRST fully supports and manages a range of studies, including the ELSA study, STRAVINSKY and ACORN. The team has expanded rapidly and is now looking for an Administrator to support the delivery of our work. The role will primarily support the ELSA (Early Surveillance for Autoimmune diabetes) study, although support for other studies may also be required.
Responsibilities
* Provide support for the ELSA study and, as required, other studies managed by Research FIRST.
* Manage the ELSA study’s social media pages, posting regular updates, re‑sharing events and relevant posts.
* Assist with the preparation and distribution of home testing DBS kits to participants and submit stock requests for clinics in accordance with study procedures.
* Perform quality control checks on kits as necessary.
* Offer general administrative support to the Research FIRST team.
