Location: London (SE1)

Salary: Competitive + Uncapped Commission (OTE £100K+) + Leads provided + Benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Fire Safety/Compliance sales professional to join our dynamic team as a Senior Business Development Manager (Field-London area).


This role offers an exciting opportunity to sell a range of essential fire safety maintenance contract services, including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, passive fire protection, and full fire compliance packages.


In this position, you will manage a designated geographical area, where you will receive leads and also be expected to proactively generate new business.


This is a “hunter and developer” role combined with bid management, where you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving fire compliance sales, and expanding our existing contract portfolio. In addition to sales, you will leverage your Bid Management expertise to build quality submissions, coordinate bid strategies (DPS, Frameworks & Installations), and align with company goals as agreed with the Managing Director.


Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and grow a targeted geographical area, nurturing existing accounts and actively seeking out new business opportunities.
* Identify, target, and convert potential leads into long-term clients by leveraging your knowledge of fire safety services.
* Proactively engage with prospective clients, building a pipeline of opportunities through outbound activities such as cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
* Advise clients on the importance of fire compliance and help them understand the benefits of our service.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure ongoing business and repeat sales.
* Regularly engage with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
* Provide excellent customer service and fire safety guidance to clients, helping them achieve compliance with regulations.
* Consistently meet and exceed sales targets through a combination of proactive sales efforts and client management.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Proven experience (circa 5+ years) in fire compliance sales/bids within the fire safety, detection, protection, or compliance industry in the UK.
* Strong background in Bid Management, with experience in writing quality submissions and managing the bid process.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* A proactive, self-driven approach to business development and the ability to work independently.
* A deep understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements.
* A passion for fire safety and a commitment to supporting clients in achieving fire compliance.
