Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the proposal function for some of CGI’s most strategic bids, ensuring the delivery of persuasive, high-quality proposals that capture our technical strengths and innovation. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, develop winning strategies, and ensure every submission reflects CGI’s commitment to excellence and client success. Acting as the linchpin between technical experts, bid managers, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure our proposals are coherent, compelling, and competitive.
You’ll take ownership of the full proposal lifecycle—from receipt of client requirements to final submission—ensuring that every proposal showcases CGI’s creativity, expertise, and value. Working in a collaborative and supportive environment, you’ll have the opportunity to lead, influence, and make a tangible impact on the success of CGI’s mission‑critical programmes.
Key responsibilities
* Lead & Deliver: Manage the full proposal process from capture to submission, ensuring alignment with CGI’s standards and bid strategy.
* Plan & Coordinate: Oversee proposal teams, timelines, and governance to ensure timely, high‑quality submissions.
* Strategies & Communicate: Translate client requirements into winning themes and clear, persuasive narratives.
* Collaborate & Inspire: Work with bid managers, technical SMEs, and partners to ensure proposal consistency and excellence.
* Mentor & Develop: Support and guide proposal writers, fostering continuous improvement and consistency across bids.
Required Qualifications
* Experience in bid or proposal management within IT, systems integration, or defence environments.
* Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities with attention to detail.
* Proven collaboration and communication skills, fostering alignment across technical and non‑technical teams.
* (Desirable) Familiarity with Shipley or other bid/sales methodologies.
* (Desirable) Technical acumen to understand and communicate complex systems effectively.
