* Monitoring patient's conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
* Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse.
* Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing.
* Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected.

Job Title: Care Support Worker

Trust: Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust

Pay Rates: £13.60 - £22.99 dependant on shift time/day

Shift Pattern: Flexible


About the Trust:

We provide health and social care services to our people in their own homes or in their local community. We also run Torbay Hospital (providing acute hospital services) as well as five community hospitals, stretching from Dawlish to Brixham.

We support around 500,000 face‑to‑face contacts with patients in their homes and communities each year and see over 78,000 people in our A&E department annually. We serve a resident population of approximately 286,000 people, plus about 100,000 visitors at any one time during the summer holiday season.

What you'll need:

* Minimum of 12 months Acute HCSW UK (Private, NHS or Armed Forces) hospital/hospice experience within the last 2 years
* Minimum of 6-months experience working at B3 level in NHS hospital setting in the past 2 years

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.

Person Specification


Experience

* Min of 6-months experience working at B3 level in NHS hospital OR private UK hospital setting (not a care home / nursing home / community / domiciliary / supported living)


Qualifications

* Care Certificate
* Minimum of 6-months experience working at B3 level in NHS hospital in the past 2 years
