What's the Job? As Irrigation Team Leader, you'll be responsible for managing all automated and manual irrigation systems, ensuring crops receive optimal water and nutrient inputs throughout the season.
You'll lead the irrigation team and work closely with farm management to drive efficiency and crop performance.
Your responsibilities will include: Managing automated and manual irrigation systems across all crops Implementing and monitoring fertigation programmes (EC, pH, nutrients) Inspecting, maintaining and repairing irrigation infrastructure Carrying out crop walks and soil moisture monitoring Leading, training and scheduling the irrigation team Maintaining accurate irrigation, maintenance and water usage records Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety and biosecurity standards Supporting new irrigation projects and continuous improvement initiatives What do I need? Proven experience managing irrigation systems (soft and/or stone fruit) Experience with Priva irrigation systems Strong organisation and attention to detail Confident people manager with good communication skills Comfortable working weekends and longer hours during peak season Proficient with basic IT systems (Excel, Word, etc.) Desirable PA1, PA2a, PA3a, PA6 Experience using Muddy Boots farm management software Benefits Permanent or February-November contract 28 days holiday including bank holidays, plus Christmas-New Year closure Opportunity to take ownership of a key function within the business What's Next?
