The position
We are currently seeking for aSenior HSSE Engineer to join BW Offshore Asset Operations team. This role will be based in the Aberdeen office.
You are responsible for
* Develops and maintains HSSE procedures and forms for the FPSO and in country operational office(s)
* As appropriate, approves or rejects Management of Change and Deviation Requests from an HSSE perspective
* Participates in HAZIDs, HAZOPs and facilitate safety studies updates
* Ownership and responsibility of the Vessel Safety Case
* Collaborate with other disciplines on SECE Performance Standards review, update and development
* Reviews incident reports and assists in identifying direct, indirect and root causes and actions to enable effective close-outs
* Leads or participates in Incident Investigations.
* Responsible for provision of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental advice and support to FPSO and in country operational offices
* Represents BW Offshore with consultants, authorities, and clients on HSSE matters when required
* Responsible to monitor UK operational compliance to internal and relevant national and international HSSE standards and legislation
Education and experience
* Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Technical, Marine or ProcessEngineering
* Formal qualifications in health and safety management, long relevant experience may replace formal qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years in offshore FPSO industry
* Working knowledge of UK HSE Standards and legislation
* Experience in Safety case management
* Previous work experience in UK Offshore oil and gas sector in an Operational / HSE role is preferred
* Procedures and documentation development and review
* Internal and vendor prequalification auditing
* Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality aspects in an operational environment
* Classification Society and Flag State rules and regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, etc.
