What youll be doing
* Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including overhead cranes, rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatic's, etc. With a good understanding of 415 motors, variable speed drives & electrical switchgear.
* Report, diagnose and remedy plant defects in a timely professional manner.
* Propose and develop modifications/improvements to plant/apparatus as appropriate.
* Liaise with other departments.
* Supervise Company and Contractor staff as appropriate.
* Maintain all work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
* Carry out duties associated with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures, including audits.
* Undertake other duties within the scope and spirit of the job as instructed by Management.
What were looking for
* You will be a time served Maintenance Technician with a recognised Mechanical biased Apprenticeship, who possess detailed knowledge of all aspects of maintenance techniques.
* Previous experience gained in a continuous process industry and electrical power generation is required to be successful in this position. Manual handling knowledge is required
* Possess the ability to communicate with staff at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
* Available to be contacted, and attend site, outside of normal hours if required.
* Ideally have knowledge of CMMS systems, ideally 'HxGN'.
* Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
* Flexible, with a creative approach to problem-solving
