Join to apply for the Laboratory Technician role at TieTalent. Are you looking for a lab-based role? This role involves working in a fast-paced, varied environment in a food testing lab. A successful food testing lab is currently seeking multiple Lab Technicians to start immediately, initially on a temporary basis. The role involves working in the lab, utilising a variety of chemical techniques to analyse food samples, as well as preparing samples for off-site analysis. This role is ideal if you have a scientific education/background and some experience of working in a fast-paced and varied role.
Responsibilities
* Product sampling and environmental swabbing.
* Preparing samples and reagents for laboratory testing.
* Perform a range of chemical analyses of food products.
* Work collaboratively across departments.
* Ensure all work is conducted in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and all other relevant standards and regulations.
* 12 hour shifts of 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM.
* £14-£16ph DOE.
Requirements
* Education in a Scientific Discipline such as a Degree in a relevant discipline would be highly beneficial.
* Some prior full-time working experience (from any industry) is essential.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Proactive and analytical approach to work.
* Available to begin immediately and able to commute to site near Bodmin.
