We have a fantastic opportunity to join our retail team in the Club store for 26 hours per week.
Job Purpose
The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting with sales, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the store. This includes handling customer inquiries, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked store environment.
Knowledge Skills and Experiences
· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of customers.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
· Well-organised with the ability to multitask.
· Basic numeracy skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel.
· Understanding of stock management and merchandising.
· Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is desirable.
· Flexibility to work weekends, match-days, and evenings as required.
Key Role Requirements
· Assist customers by providing product information and guidance.
· Handle transactions, including cash and card payments.
· Ensure that all stock is correctly displayed and replenished.
· Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store.
· Provide upsell and promotional information to customers.
· Assist with stock deliveries and storage.
· Prevent loss by monitoring customers and reporting suspicious activity.
· Support promotional events and sales activities.
· Adhere to club policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Experience
· Experience working in a customer-facing role.
· Experience in cash handling and processing credit card payments.
· Previous experience in a sales environment is desirable.
