Hours: 08:30am - 17:00pm, 37.5 hour week, 1 hour unpaid lunch
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Annually

Prin c iple Dut i es and Accountabilities:
Prov i de t h e effici e nt delive r y of the purch a s i ng process sup por ting the financial commitments of t he Co m pan y .
Roles and Responsibiliti e s :
Financial analysis and reporting:Assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial reports and associated commentary, monitor spending, and interpret key financial data to identify trends and insights for management.Reconciliation of key control accounts and investigating variances.
Budgeting and forecasting:Develop and manage budgets, forecast future financial performance, and control income and expenditure.Prepare regular cashflow forecasts.
Strategic support: Provide financial advice for strategic decision-making, such as investments, tenders, new projects, and business growth.
Risk management:Identify and assess financial risks and help develop strategies to mitigate them.
Policy and systems:Review and maintain financial policies and management information systems, and ensure all financial procedures comply with regulatory standards.
Cost management:Monitor costs and spending and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Business Partnering: W o rking with and g u idi n g other d epar t ments t o e n s u re spendi n g is k ept in line with budgets. Assisting t h e inter p r etat i on a n d communication of fin a ncial data t o n on-financial managers.

Assist the Finance Director with the statutory audit
Qualific a tions / Competency:
Qualified AAT and/or part qualified CIMA or ACCA
Knowledge and awareness, with an interest in business and an understanding of how an organisation works and manages resources.
Previous experience in the transport, waste, or logistics industry desired but not essential.
A high level of numeracy and the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way.
Professionalism and commitment; with excellent oral and written communication skills.
IT proficiency. Competence of Excel, Sage 1000 and Weighsoft desirable
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance members of staff.
A lively and enquiring mind with a logical approach to work, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Previous experience in a financial background is essential.
Previous experience in the transport, waste, or logistics industry desired but not essential.
