We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate Ambulance Care Assistants to transport patients who are frail or need specialist assistance being taken to and from appointments at hospitals, treatment centres and other similar facilities.
You will need to be flexible, adaptable, and at times, discreet. A good sense of humour and local knowledge of the area you are applying to work in will also be an advantage.
Responsibilities
* Transport non-urgent patients to and from health/social care premises and private residences.
* Work as part of a two-person team or independently in a variety of vehicle types.
* Uphold a professional and caring attitude while providing patient care and support.
* Complete a 3‑week paid training course covering clinical training, first‑person-on‑scene procedures, and patient transport driver training.
* Attend all training sessions in full and successfully complete the course.
Qualifications
* Full UK manual car driving licence with at least one year driving experience.
* Maximum of 3 penalty points for a minor motoring offence only.
* Ability to commit to the 3‑week training programme at Welwyn Garden City.
