Hours: 37.5 Salary: £23,000 to £25,000 Annum The person This role will suit someone with prior experience working in an accounts environment or purchasing team. We are recruiting an Accounts Payable assistant in the finance team of Choice Care Group in our Head office in Bracknell. You will need to be a self-starter, able to demonstrate organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, be a good communicator and a problem solver. You’ll be happy to be hands on and work on your own initiative but also be able to work together as a team to meet key deadlines. Benefits Job title – Accounts Payable assistant Hours – Full time (37.5 hours a week) Office based – Head office in Bracknell (with 1 or 2 days working from home after induction) Report to – Finance manager Holidays – 22 days plus your birthday Responsibilities Typical day to day Accounts Payable assistant tasks: Processing Invoices on Sage Intacct Download key supplier invoices from portals Matching Invoices to purchase orders and querying any differences Managing the Accounts Payable mailbox Supplier Statement reconciliation Supplier query resolution Supporting the Purchasing team with ad hoc projects and tasks eg raising purchase orders or requesting quotes from suppliers Assisting with new supplier set up Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks Helping to clear down and manage supplier aging Ensure invoices are processed and paid on time Requirements Previous experience in an accounts department or purchasing department A strong team player who is willing to actively work across the team, adopting a can-do and flexible attitude Ability to prioritise workloads and multitask Good Excel experience Excellent organisation skills Friendly and approachable attitude Good telephone manner Excellent attention to detail Requirements Minimum grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) What are the benefits?* Holiday entitlement - starting from 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays Sick pay entitlement Employee Assistance Programme - comprehensive health and wellbeing support for staff Refer a Friend scheme - enjoy a payment of £500 when you recruit a friend to Choice Care Choiceversary - staff receive vouchers of £75 after 5 years, £100 after 10 years and £150 after 15 years to celebrate their commitment to Choice Care Christmas bonus - vouchers for all staff members Life insurance Annual staff awards - this year each winner received £400 and we had over 30 winners in total Complex in-house training - this includes our Advanced Management Development Programme for managers in the making and our Foundation Management Development Programme for rising stars A paid day off on your birthday Free monthly prize draw - all frontline care colleagues are automatically entered into a monthly prize draw.
