Procurement Specialist - Liverpool, UK - 12 Months Initial Contract

Our client is currently seeking the skills of a Procurement Specialist to join their team. Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth. With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!
What You’ll Do
* Ability to develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies
* Lead strategic negotiations with external stakeholders and Vendors
* Engage with global suppliers and investigate and introduce new technologies to the corporation’s capital projects portfolio
* Negotiate and conduct MSAs for equipment in pharmaceutical facilities including for, but not limited to, sterile manufacturing, packaging and automation
What You’ll Need
* Proven experience working in a senior/director capacity within procurement, equipment/materials sourcing
* A capable communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience supporting category procurement within a life science or GMP regulated organisation
* Educated to degree level within a business or engineering function is desirable but not essential
This role is an onsite hybrid position, offering a minimum of three days in the office. The facility offers free car parking and is commutable via Northwest England, with local areas to reside should candidates need to relocate.
