About the Opportunity
As a Senior VAT Accountant, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions, supporting global teams, and shaping future processes. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home with regular office collaboration in Colchester.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review VAT returns (UK & overseas)
* Lead on EC Sales Lists, intrastat declarations, and annual PSA returns
* Support new VAT registrations, rule changes, and systems testing
* Deliver VAT training across teams and contribute to VAT projects
* Collaborate with stakeholders, offering clear guidance on VAT complexities
Key Requirements
* CTA, ATT, or qualified accountant with 4+ years’ VAT experience
* Strong systems knowledge (SAP/Oracle ideal)
* Proactive communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
* Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Team leadership experience is a plus
