The Role
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lecturer in Early Years and Education. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and shape the future of students entering the Early Years and Primary Education sectors by delivering engaging, high‑quality instruction across both practical and theoretical aspects of the field.
We are particularly interested in applicants who bring practical experience within Early Years and/or Primary Education, as this will enrich the learning experience for our students.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As a vital member of the Education team, your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering high‑quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Early Years and Education.
Assisting with curriculum design, development, and ongoing quality improvement within the department.
Supporting student recruitment through interviews, Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG), Open Days, and curriculum‑focused events.
Monitoring and supporting student progress, retention, achievement, and progression using effective tracking systems.
Applying up‑to‑date knowledge of Early Years and Primary Education practice, using innovative digital and in‑person teaching approaches.
Using B&FC systems such as the VLE, progress‑tracking software, and internal verification processes to support learner success.
Contributing to the wider academic community through research, scholarship, and professional practice.
