FAST Adolescent Activity Worker (closing date: 18/08/25)
£32,061 - £35,412 per year. An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a FAST Activity worker, within our FAST Adolescent team, in Swansea's Family Support Service. This is a temporary post until the end of March 2026.
The post will be a member of a new, innovative edge of care service that is intended to support some of the most complex and challenging children and young people open to Child and Family Services. The service will support adolescents on the brink of becoming accommodated, those in care where there is a plan for rehabilitation, and adolescents at risk of escalating to a high cost placement as a result of their behaviours.
The post holder will undertake sessions with adolescents, their families and/or Peers who are open to the FAST Team. The aim of which is to support children to improve their wellbeing, educational engagement and aspirations via community and residential based opportunities, resulting in young people being able to remain at home with their families where safe and appropriate.
This post will require a dynamic adolescent worker who would be committed to providing young people with a safe and supportive environment as part of their support plan; this often includes early evening and or late evening work. The role also offers weekend support on a rota basis within the community or Ty Rhosilli base.
