Role Overview
The Compliance Shared Services (CoSS) organization's mission is to build shared services for managing regulations. The SPIDER (Streamlining Planning, Deployment and Post-Release) team within CoSS is responsible for the technical infrastructure and tools to proactively identify and resolve issues impacting Selling Partners. We are seeking System Development Engineers with experience in software/system engineering support or an equivalent role, with a proven track record of improving software development, business, and customer service support processes. The ideal candidate is an experienced technical team member willing to take on challenging responsibilities, with a metrics-focused approach, customer orientation, and the ability to lead in multi-functional, fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
* Technical Support and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex production software issues, perform troubleshooting, and provide support through ticket management and customer communication.
* Software Development and Maintenance: Develop operational tools and automation solutions using Ruby, Rails, Java, Python, and shell scripting; maintain and configure software systems; implement fixes and enhancements.
* System Operations and Monitoring: Design monitoring solutions, manage deployments in AWS, and create system status reports.
* Team Collaboration and Knowledge Management: Coordinate support issues, develop team knowledge base, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Product and Service Ownership: Own digital products or system components, ensure SLA adherence, and coordinate customer notifications.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Experience programming with modern languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
* Experience with distributed systems at scale, automating and supporting large infrastructure, Linux/Unix, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
* Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology.
