This is a role where precision matters - your expertise will help maintain the highest standards in engineering and contribute to projects that protect national security. You’ll gain exposure to advanced technologies, work alongside industry experts, and develop your career towards senior Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) qualifications.Day-to-day you’ll be:Leading on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality for all NDT operations.Interpreting and evaluating results against codes, standards, and specifications.Supporting the site’s test facility and examination centre.Developing techniques for materials, fabrication, and product technology.Working towards ASNT Level III certifications to advance your expertise.This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and is based on site at Rosyth.Essential Experience Of The Assistant NDT EngineerExtensive industrial NDT experience with multiple method certifications (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT).Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.Strong motivation, professionalism, and attention to detail.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Creative approach to delivering training effectively.Qualifications For The Assistant NDT EngineerAs a minimum hold PCN Level II in MT, PT, UT (3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9)ASNT/PCN Level II in MT, PT, UT and VT - DesirableVT PCN Level II - DesirableExperience of Advanced Ultrasonic Techniques – DesirableSecurity ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
