Overview

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for the treasury operations of the firm, including managing cash flow, optimizing liquidity, executing financial transactions, maintaining banking relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role oversees the firms investment portfolios and the related reporting compliance.


Responsibilities

* Manage daily cash position, including monitoring bank balances and reconciling daily cash activities.
* Identify and resolve discrepancies in bank accounts.
* Initiate and execute electronic funds transfers (EFTs), ACH payments, and wire transfers.
* Assist in optimizing cash management processes, including cash concentration and sweeping.
* Prepare accurate and timely treasury reports for management, including cash position, cash flow actuals vs. forecasts, etc.
* Conduct financial analysis to support treasury decisions and optimize financial structure.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of processes and policies to enhance treasury controls and ensure adherence.
* Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, external regulations.
* Oversee firms investment portfolios and maintain partner ownership interests in each portfolio.
* Prepare documentation and records for tax reporting for the investment portfolios.
* Generate individual partner statements/maintain dashboards for the individual partners investment interests.
* Prepare debt covenants reporting package for the bank.
* Work closely with internal finance teams to understand funding needs and reconcile transactions.
* Administer and maintain the firms corporate credit card program, ensuring cardholder compliance with internal policies and procedures.


Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
* 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a significant portion directly in treasury operations.


Technical & Specialist Knowledge

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
* Prior experience with financial reporting and investor reporting.
* Fundamental knowledge of accounting (for non-accounting background).
* Understanding of trust accounting and related ABA/Law Society (Canada) rules is a plus.
* Experience with foreign currencies is a plus.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to meet strict deadlines.
* High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
* Aptitude for learning new applications, systems and processes.


Compensation

The salary range for this position in Washington, DC, and New York is $75,000 to $85,000. This position is bonus eligible. Mintz offers a comprehensive benefits package.
