About our Department
Our team of PHP Developers sits within our Technology Department, crucial for enabling effective work for our employees and students, delivering projects, and developing impactful technology solutions. Our IT department values employee development, with numerous opportunities for progression and promotion.
About the Opportunity
As a PHP Developer, you will engage with the full software development lifecycle to develop University Learning systems (Moodle) and contribute to creating best-in-class digital solutions to support our educational mission.
About You
We are looking for applicants with most of the following skills / knowledge:
* Excellent understanding of software development principles, theory, and practice
* PHP, employing OO Programming principles and Design Patterns
* Experience with Agile methodologies
* REST APIs and HTTP protocols
* XDebug and PHPUnit
* Linux command line, including BASH / shell scripting
Nice to have but not essential:
* Moodle plug-in development
* Mobile application development
